Following the March 2005 Open Houses, COMPASS gave more than 35 community presentations to elected officials, neighborhood associations, service clubs and other groups. The purpose of both the open houses and community presentations was to: 1) Share two preferred growth scenarios under consideration by the COMPASS Board 2) Receive comments on the preferred scenarios and 3) Clarify the differences between current trend development and the two new scenarios

Each of the two scenarios presented at the open houses and during public presentations -- Mixed Use Corridors and Blended -- had its own comment form. Participants were asked to complete both. The comment forms showed the attributes of each scenario and asked participants if they liked or disliked the attribute, and why. Residents who attended the open houses and public presentations were shown comparisons between current trend development and the two scenarios.

Approximately 700 people visited the open houses or heard a presentation. Following are summaries of comments received;
